About the Owners

Mark and Anne Kennedy founded Camelot Farms Equestrian Center in 1999. Their goal when moving form Atlanta to the Beaufort area was to create a working farm for their own beloved horses. Mark is a retired flooring contractor and Anne is a retired cytologist from Pfizer Pharmaceutical Corporation. They have three grown children, and five grandaughters!
It didn’t take long for word to spread that there was a new farm encompassing many acres to enjoy on horseback and from which riders could access a beautiful beach area. This combination has attracted many boarders. The farm is still growing today with the completion of a covered, lighted area.

Anne has been on a horse since she could sit up. Riding and showing throughout childhood and in college. She was very lucky to have grown up in a rural town in Eastern North Carolina with a training barn right down the street. She was the "barn brat" and helped cool out the horses after their training. She says she got her touch with horses from her great- grand father, who was a country doctor and horseman of much notoriety in the area. He was famous for saying " you can study to be a doctor but to be a true horseman, it has to be born in you." To this day she still has one for his race horse sulkies.
Anne has trained many horses that have gone on to win in the show ring and others that have made special trail mounts. Horses trained by Anne can be found throughout the Unites States.
The Kennedy’s enjoy trail riding, showing, their customers and the wonderful friends made throughout the horse world After years fighting the Atlanta traffic, a golf cart commute with their three dogs is just too good for words!
Camelot Farms Equestrian Center's Security
Meet our security team Frogmore and Fripp. Angel (not pictured) is out on guard duty. Rest assured that they are aware of all happenings at the farm. Just don't tell anyone that they can be bribed with food!
