Lessons.

We are pleased to offer lessons to the first time rider to the more advanced rider wishing to begin dressage. We enjoy working with children as well as adults. Our lessons for children start at age eight. If a younger child wishes to ride we will work with the parents to develop a program for that child so as to get aquatinted with the horse and learn basic safety rules.

There is a lot to learn about horsemanship. Riding is only one facet. We teach care, grooming, anatomy, first aid, along with safety and riding. Each horse is different in temperament as well as gait and we like our students to experience all different horses and situations that they might find when they are tiding for pleasure and not in a lesson.

At the end of each lesson, we usually take the students on a mini trail ride to practice outside of the ring. Most children and adults enjoy this and it offers new situations and keeps ring boredom at a minimum for horse and rider.

Our private lessons are 1/2 hour or one hour in length.
