Trick Training For You and Your Horse

Horses need something to do. They like to learn and feel challenged and of course they all like to be praised. Not only will trick training increase your horses attention span but will help you set up a partnership for life.

I started trick training when after an accident I was not allowed to ride for months. I still wanted to spend time with my horse, but wanted her education to continue and do more with her than just groom and hand walk. Trick training was the answer! Not only did we both enjoy this fun activity but we became closer and in just a few minutes a day we were doing simple tricks like "yes", "no" and "kiss"! Cocoa Has a long list of tricks now and they were all learned in a kind humane manner with using only simple equipment. People will be amazed at what your horse can do and you will have fun teaching your horse and showing off your star!

Equestrian Training Services

The new word in horse training is "natural horsemanship." We have been working with understanding of and kindness for the horse for years. All creatures learn at a different rate and in a different way. It is the job of the teacher, trainer to find the gentle way to reach understanding with the horse. We believe in strong schooling in groundwork, both in the round pen and out. We believe that there has to be respect. Horses are a large and strong animal and they have to have boundaries. Each day that we interact with horses we are teaching them - for better or for worse. That is why we like to involve the owner in the process as much as possible. So many people have told me that "My horse will do it for you but not for me." Training is an everyday occurance!

We are happy to start horses, or 'restart' horses and teach more advanced maneuvers. We will work your horse five to six days a week. We like to work with our training horses in the fall-winter seasons as our trail ride season slows down then.
